Library at the Edge of the World

I really enjoyed this book and  once I had finished it, I  immediately got the sequel....Summer at the Garden Café.  The setting is contemporary on the west coast of Ireland. The characters are carried over through both books. It is about a library and the consolidation of a small rural library with a much larger one. It causes havoc and the community joins together to prove that there are ways of having the local library become a very active community center with everyone pitching in. The characters are delightful.

Having visited just that area of Ireland a number of years ago, I could almost picture the setting and the beauty of the countryside. There is homespun goodness in this story!
